Montessori Approach

Montessori Approach

The Montessori method is based on the child's tendencies to explore, become independent and to make decisions. The classroom environment allows opportunities for this to happen. It is prepared with materials that are arranged according to specific subject areas by the teacher.
Children are free to move around the room to choose work pursuing their interests. Though repetitive engagement with the materials, Children develop self-control, abstract ideas from their experiences, and perfect and master concepts and ideas. Mixed-age classes promote collaborative learning and encourage the development of a strong community.
